Il colore è rosso rubino profondo, tendente al granato ed impenetrabile.
Si presenta con una grande struttura, generoso alcol, morbidi e smussati tannini, ottima acidità ed ottimo bilanciamento.
Al naso lamponi, more, marmellata di fragole, caffè, cioccolato fondente, datteri, tartufo con una potente intensità.
Fantastico vino rosso con profumi intensi e complessi e corrispondenza in bocca degli aromi percepiti al naso, specialmente more, cioccolato, spezie e sentori “terrosi”.
Finale imperdibile, lungo ed avvolgente. Troviamo ancora ottime potenzialità per l’invecchiamento, dopo 10 anni dalla degustazione.
Abbinamenti: suggeriamo di abbinarlo con selvaggina come cervo e capriolo o carne brasata, formaggi stagionati e sicuramente con i tipici arrosticini di pecora.

VILLA GEMMA 2006 – Cantina Masciarelli – 14,5°

The colour is deep ruby, clear and with thick tears.
The wine is full body, round, with generous alcohol, soft and refined tannins, fresh acidity and very good balanced. 
On the nose raspberry, blackberry, strawberry jam, coffee, black chocolate, dates, truffles, spicy wood, with a powerful flavour intensity.
Gorgeous red with blackberry and chocolate character, as well as hints of spices and earth.
Very long finish.
This wine has still potential for aging.

Tasted end of 2016 – age 10 years

Food pairing: we suggest to drink with game like deer, roe or braised meat, aged cheeses and of course with “arrosticini”.
